To be able to distinguish language from learning disabilities, educators must understand the second language acquisition process, recognize characteristics associated with LD, and assess the quality of instruction in student's classrooms.  On the surface, struggles with English language acquisition can mirror characteristics of LD.  Join us as we dig deeper to try and understand the reasons for certain behaviors and identify their underlying causes
